The discovery was based on 18 plant samples where Hypericum Mysorense and Hypericum Hookeranum emerged to have highly effective potency in the treatment of HSV at even low concentrations. This was even reported as an herbal herpes cure in the Indian Journal of Medical Research. Currently, these two plants are being used by traditional Indian practitioners for the treatment of anxiety and as an anti-inflammatory medication.
There are other herbal medicines known to be effective in the treatment of the herpes virus by restoring the body’s resistance towards the herpes simplex virus. This may be in the form of herbal tea, oils, or tinctures. Some of these herbal medicines have already been scientifically discovered as having the same effectiveness as that of the synthetic antiviral drugs. Medical studies are still trying to unearth the reasons for these herbal medicines or even why herbal herpes cure seems to be a favorite among traditional folks.
